Among the new members, we are delighted to announce that Angela Giangrande, CNRS Research Director at the IGBMC, was elected on 9 July 2024 for her body of work and for her latest project on the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms that regulate the development and role of glial cells and macrophages in Drosophila.

EMBO now has over 2,100 members, including 92 Nobel Laureates. Their role is to use their expertise to ensure the implementation of all EMBO initiatives, by evaluating projects, serving on the Governing Board and various committees, and collectively influencing the future direction of life sciences research and strengthening research communities across Europe.

The new members will be officially welcomed at a meeting in Heidelberg, Germany, from October 29 to 1 November 2024.
