Oct. 1, 2013
Under its Laboratory of Excellence initiative, the Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire (IGBMC) is seeking an imaging expert with the potential to head the Institute’s Imaging Center in the future.
The Facility provides a broad range of light microscopy imaging systems and techniques and access to state-of-the-art conventional and laser-based microscopes to support 45 research teams. It also hosts an electron microscopy unit.
The new recruit will have a top level knowledge of confocal microscopy, multiphoton imaging, and other forms of light microscopy and a strong interest in developing imaging tools and microscopy technology. She/he is expected to strengthen and develop the Imaging Center in the areas of live imaging/light sheet microscopy/non-linear microscopy/image analysis/correlative imaging/super resolution microscopy/molecular imaging.
The applicant should hold a PhD degree, have conducted postdoctoral research, have experience in managing an imaging facility and have a great sense of collegiality. We highly welcome applications aimed at developing cutting-edge quantitative imaging approaches.
Outstanding candidates are invited to submit a single file including their Curriculum Vitae with complete bibliography and a cover letter as well as contact details of two referees who can attest to the applicant’s ability in microscopical analyses to Labex-INRT@igbmc.fr, subject line Labex 04.
