Post Doc - E. Soutoglou Team

Reference : IGBMC / Post doc E.S.

Offer publication : May 15, 2018

A postdoctoral position is available at the group of Evi Soutoglou at the Institute of

Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC) in the area of Strasbourg, France. Our group studies the role of nuclear organization in DNA damage response and DNA repair pathway choice and its contribution in the formation of chromosomal translocations. We have strong evidence that the nuclear compartments dictate DNA repair pathway choice and regulate DNA break spatial dynamics. Using quantitative proteomics and high end imaging, we are in the process of identifying the key molecules and characterize the detailed mechanisms by which nuclear compartmentalization controls DNA repair.

We are therefore looking for very motivated, creative and hard-working candidates with strong background in DNA repair and/or epigenetics and expertise on imaging and/or proteomics.

The IGBMC is a highly reputed Institute in the fields of transcription and chromatin with state-of-the art facilities and a very international and dynamic atmosphere. The working language is English.
