Project: Structural studies of nuclear receptor associated transcriptional complexes in the group of Dr. Bruno Klaholz
The candidate will use crystallography and cryo EM structural methods to solve the structure of the full complex or domains thereof. Background and training in cryo EM will be provided if necessary. The research fellow will benefit from access to the Structural Biology and Genomics platform at IGBMC (cloning, purification, crystallization). IGBMC is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for crystallography (Eiger detector) and electron microscopy (Titan Krios microscope). Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree, a keen interest in structural biology, and should enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team. They should have a background in at least one of the following areas: molecular biology; biochemistry, in particular protein expression and purification; biophysical characterization of protein-DNA complexes; cryo EM and/or crystallography
Profile: The project aims at unveiling the architecture of the transcriptional complexes based on steroid nuclear receptors with a combined structural and functional approach. This project will require the production, characterization and structural investigation of nuclear receptor complexes.
